Swimming Lessons for Summer (Marikina Area)

My first option is to enroll the little girl in the Bert Lozada Learn to Swim Program. They are offering lessons here in Marikina (in Riverbend Hotel) but unfortunately the age bracket is not yet for the little girl. I inquired in Lozada and they told me the nearest facility that accomodates Anevay’s age ( 2 years old) is in Ace Water Spa or St. Paul Pasig. Both of which are far from our place of residence.

So I gave up the thought of enrolling Anevay in Lozada and I kept searching. Fortunately last week I was able to see a billboard on the way home from the grocery. And when I called, the lady I was able to talked to told me they offer classes for ages 2 and up. Boy, was I glad since the location is near our house. So, we drop by this Sunday and I decided to enroll the little girl since the staff are very accommodating and the place is okay.

Here are the schedules if you are interested :

  1. Yes, Lozada swimming classes will open at Riverbend Hotel. Just like you, I”m also looking for swimming classes for my 5yo boy. I tried Milo swimming classes in our city but didn’t found one. I’d like to know where exactly is the GeorgeTown Fitness Club. I’m from Marikina too but seldom go around SSS village. I only know a couple of landmarks in SSS, Bay Tree and Infant Jesus Academy. I opened the Marikina Map viewer but can’t find Panganiban street. How do I get there thru a jeepney ride? Thanks a lot!

And oh, good luck to your lil girl!;)

  2. Georgetown is located at the back of SDS Hospital. Also near Water Nymph resort. No jeepney passes by Georgetown. But if are familiar with Baytree, you can asked the tricycle to just drive you there.

  3. My kids enjoy their swimming lesson at Georgetown the coaches are very accomodating as well. My 9 year daugther continue her swimming to advance class because she enjoy it so much.

  4. hi cynthia,

i also like the coaches in georgetown. they really are patient especially with my two year old little girl. i would love to enroll my little girl again but right now we are attending summer classes in ingenium. i hope your daugther turns into an olympic swimmer. i’ve seen how coach joel coach the kids from the different school and i can say he really knows how to handle them.

    thanks for commenting.

  5. hello i also have a 4 year old and i’ve been meaning to enroll her in swim classes in georgetown. last time i was in georgetown was about a year ago and i didn’t see a baby pool. do they teach the toddlers/beginners in the deep pool?

  6. hi andrea,

yap, they teach toddlers on the deep pool. i think its around 5 ft. but the nice thing about the swimming lessons, in the case of my little girl is that she has a one on one lesson with the swimming instructor (since she was the only student at the time slot she is enrolled). and then the other four instructor are close by to help. i think it’s safe even though the pool is deep.
