PLDT Slow Down

Posted: March 9th, 2010 | Author: | Filed under: pldt dsl | Tags: | No Comments »

Again..for the nth time, my dsl is crawling. I have not called their hotline yet because I am not in the mood to deal with their crappy customer service. But it takes forever to load a page and that really irks me. Imagine paying for a connection that is not really that decent right now. I think this has been going on for a week now. It’s an on and off connection. OH well. What can I say. Goodluck to me. I hope I can log a complain by tomorrow.

Slow Down

I don’t know if its just the site that I accessed or PLDT dsl is having a problem. I just noticed a significant change when it comes to my connection speed. Well, actually I am thinking I might have messed up with my connection because I have put a switch on it that’s why I decided to removed it again. But my speed is still slow as compared to previous months. Though tolerable.

I don’t believe the result I got from speedtest.net. hehe. Since its powered by PLDT. Right now I am currently running under this speed.

Internet Slowdown over AP

The reason why the internet connection has been slow since last night. I think this is a repeat incident with last year when the cables where cut because of an earthquake.

APCN2 cable cut cripples connections

update A cut in the Asia-Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) undersea submarine cable crippled connection speeds for users in the Asia-Pacific region on Wednesday, particularly in Singapore and the Philippines.

Users were sending updates to local forums and Twitter, complaining of slow connection speeds to sites hosted outside of the region.

Calling…

I have been on the phone right now for one hour now. Calling the hotline for our dsl. And nobody is picking up the phone. In cases like this I only have some conclusion in mind. One, there is only a few of the agents that are on duty. And they cannot take in the bulk calls that are coming in. Second, the agents don’t want to pick up the calls. And third, all pldt subscriber are calling their hotline because of the crappy service that we are receiving right now. Unfortunately I have already finished the entry but my call is yet to be answered. PLDT..HELLO…what’s this? Pick up!

What’s Up, PLDT?

For the past two days I have been having a not so good connection to the internet. If the connection is not crawling, almost all the internet sites that I am a trying to access are inaccessible. And I am not the only one who is experiencing this problem. Now the connection got worse because its raining. Gawd! Gawd! I am so annoyed! Especially since I am doing a lot of work online. Just the right time to have an unreliable connection. And i think its not only PLDT. Yesterday I tried to connect to the net via my GLOBE TATTOO prepaid but I was not successful that I decided to just sleep. I am taking advantage of the unreliable connection because I am assuming that because there is a typhoon brewing in the country, there would some rain and that it would affect my connection. I might not have any of this tomorrow. Oh well. And can anybody tell those manning the 171 or 172 to pick the calls?

SSSlllllloooooWWWWW!

My DSL is crawling. I noticed it this morning. I did some speed test and it reads around 200kb/s. But after a few minutes it went back to my usual speed that is around 1600kpbs. But now the sites that I have been accessing takes a lot of minutes to load so I tried another test. And guess what ?

It is irritating. I am paying for a 1600kbps but look not even half of the speed is met. I don’t want to call their hotline since I know I would only be answered by a bunch of customer service representative who only knows how to take calls but never know what to answer. I am giving them until tonight. If the speed is not restored then I would call 171.

Don’t ARGUE with me

I am not into arguments nor debates. In fact as much as possible I avoid discussions wherein one party wants to win over the other party. But when it comes to technical discussions and I know I am right and I know that the person I am talking to wants to win over me then that’s the time I would be on argumentative state. The husband always laugh when I am at this stage and would always say he pity whoever put me in that state.

Do you used PLDT as your ISP? Have you experienced that your internet connection has slow down for two weeks or so now. If you haven’t, well lucky you!

I have been experienced a sssllllllllooooooooowwwwwwww down of my internet connection for the past two weeks now. At first it isn’t noticeable but then I started having some problems of page not loading in some of the website I frequent. Most of the time I also encounter page cannot be displayed error. This happens around 10 pm onwards until midnight so I am super frustrated because that is the time for you know what. I really on my fast internet connection to be able to grab a lot of $. So I reported this to 171. I don’t know why but I have always been a victim of close ticket.
