Ironic!

Okay, this post would be a little about popular people but no it’s not about Alanis Morisette’s song Ironic. Well, this past couple of days, actually over the weekend and now there are two celebrity couple that has been on the news. Last Sunday, I was watching the BUZZ and I’ve known about the appearance of Senator Mar Roxas and broadcaster Korina Sanchez in Wowowee, wherein the couple share their thoughts about their love for each other. There was even a time wherein Mar Roxas shed a tear. Okay, I admit I am a suck3r for good love story and even ‘kilig moments’. But I admit the one I saw in the BUZZ did not give me an oh so good feeling. H3ck! I even had goose bumps but not in the good way. My thought was why do they have to do it in public. And most of all why Wowowee? Is it because a lot of ‘masa’ are watching it?

Now, what is ironic ? Well, today we were surprised that about the news of the Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos wedding. The wedding was off limits to media and even the guest did not even know where the wedding will be held. They were only given the details just this morning I think. And now I am watching TV Patrol wherein they are given bits and bits of information about the wedding. You see, this two are public figures. Much more public than Mar and Korina. And they decided to make sure their wedding is really private. Something that I admire. But I am thinking, if Ryan and Judy Ann are secretive on their wedding then why did Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez decided to go all out on their love affair after years of being silent about it. One cannot help but deduce that they are doing this because of the upcoming presidential election. And what would you? The couple again appeared together on the news tonight. They visited the lady who gave birth to quintuplets and they gave some assistance to her. They even got the newly born baptized and them being god parents. Now, if that’s not campaigning I don’t know what to call it.
