As it GOES up

The news every night always consist of accidents and crimes. And mostly both are cause either by a drunk or a person who is using prohibited drugs. It’s quite a pity that more and more individuals are seeking comfort in alcohol or drugs which the end result is the crime rate going up. If only this people would open their eyes and see that they are damaging not only their body but also their future. If only they would admit their fault and seek help. If only their families, upon sensing the addiction, would send them into a good drug rehab. Good thing there are concern individuals who do research to combat drug addiction. Now you ask? Why am I saying all of these. Well, I just dream of a deceased friend who for the last part of the year that we were close was rumored to be a drug addict. Unfortunately, his family rather than looking for ways to help him, denied it because of shame. Over the past few years I have been thinking that he might still be alive if the reaction towards his addiction was different. Oh well, that’s over and done with. Bless his soul!
