This summer ever since I got my Iphone, our daughter started showing interest in photography and movie making. Maybe she saw me taking pictures ever opportunity I get and then I also asked her to make a message in a video. I am really amused with all the pictures she has taken and all the movies she have created. Because of this I am thinking to look compact digital cameras that can be used by a five year old. I know there are toy digicam out there with memory card but if there are real digicam which can be used by kids that would be much better. I already asked the husband to scout for me.

Yesterday, my nephew went to our house and told me that he has an assigment in Excel. He was explaining me the desired output but I cannot determine if his assignment needs him to used macro. Well, I am not really proficient in Excel and I am more familiar with Lotus 123. The worksheet we are using at work. But I won’t back down a good challenge. Sometimes those task from school are more difficult that what will land in you when you are working. hahaha. And I am a bit rusty when it comes to excel so I need some practice.

Last night while talking, my husband asked me how my income in my online work going. He knows I am getting lazy doing it and at the verge of quitting. I am feeling a bit burn out and bored on it since I feel that I have already accomplished what I wanted to accomplish. He was actually asking me about it because he plans to open a dollar account, where in we can put in my earnings. We wanted to have a dollar account. So, I told him I am going to look for other means of income. Something that would interest and challenge me. He encourage me to look into programming again. I said I will try. But first I have to look into my health first and make sure everything is a okay. I will go to my doctor this week. Not sure if I would be subjected to ecg again but I would want to stay positive. I know my outlook somehow affect my health. That’s why I always maintain that affirmative approach in life. I hope everything will stay smooth.

1st Project using Movie Maker

Ever since I resigned from work, I make it an effort to avoid doing something that requires me to spend hours of thinking, debugging, researching. I have little patience to explore and put pieces together. In short, I am one lazy being. lol. My husband would always tease me by saying that I just am lazy to do something when I say that I don’t know how to do something. Which I think he is correct. I don’t know but really I don’t like doing technical stuff. Maybe, it’s an aftermath of my burn out from the corporate world many years ago. But there are times when I make an exception. Recently, I saw a perfect motivation to do a little experiment. I don’t have any gift for my husband for Father’s day so I decided to come up with a collections of his picture and our daughter and then put them together via movie maker. Viola! I was able to do it. And I was so satisfied because I was able to used a song and the pictures that I have fitted perfectly in it.

Angry Birds Live!

Our little girl have developed a fascination towards the Angry Birds game though she don’t play it. She is contend to watch whoever is playing the game. Then when we went to the mall about two weeks ago, she saw a store that is selling Angry birds stuff. We ended up buying a pillow which she is now using and some stress balls. It cost me a fortune. lol! Anyway, this morning a friend of mine shared this video in Youtube. It was so nice because it a game of Angry bird, the only difference is it’s live. haha. The kids have fun watching it. Me too! haha. Here is the clip.

Funny and Irritating

I cannot help but shake my head and smirk when I hear or read people thoughts about their opinion regarding the used of high tech gadgets. How they abhor that kids nowadays would rather play games on the computer, psp, iphone, ipad, tablets etc. I admit I am one of those parents who let my daughter play with our pc and her ipad or my iphone. I don’t mind as long as she knows her limit and it does not affect her personality. And I am there to supervise what she is playing and doing with her gadgets. For me, it’s time already. No matter how we say that it’s not what we do when we were a kid, well, no one can prevent time and the changes it brings. What I don’t want are those people who kept on saying they don’t want their kids playing with this gadgets when in truth is that it’s their ego that is talking rather than their principle. I know some people who are really against this gadgets and stand in their views. And I salute them. But I also know those who just say something against because they can’t have them. And the truth is if given a chance they would grab to put an ownership to it and brag about it. C’mon people, grow up! I remember way back when my daughter was about a year old and a lot of mom are against putting their child into play school like Tumble Tots, Gymboree, Kindermusik etc. It’s there way of tampiing down their desire to do the same because of lack of funds. It’s not a nice attitude to put down something or go against it when your obvious reason is envy.

Cheaper Gifts

Despite the fact that I am having an all time low income right now I still promised the husband that come July I’ll give him two gifts. Which he wanted to purchase last May but unfortunately we run out of time to buy them. Indeed we had a time to look for document scanning equipment and meet some friends for lunch or dinner but when it comes to buying things for him we fell short. So, I told him I’ll take care of it and would surely give the gadgets he wanted when he comes home for vacation this July. He wanted two things : a dual Smartphone and an android tablet we saw in Kingcom. Both are cheap, way cheaper compared to those gadgets that he had purchased for me and the little girl.. So I guess I just need to set aside for it. I think it won’t cost me more that Php 10k for the two. Hopefully. haha.
