Of all the sale around the metro that I posted in this blog I only got to go to one and it’s just by accident. Yesterday, we head off to Eastwood because I need to get my check books. I have to pay my insurance via PDC after scanning tones of insurance quote, I finally found one that suite my condition. Anyway, after going to the back I told the husband to go the New Eastwood Mall. The last time I was there I was not able to explore the stores and I wanted to look for the store that sells baby gowns in preparation for Keisha’s 1st birthday this May 2010. Anyway, on our way to the mall I saw ToonTown. Of course, my eyes light up when I saw that they are still having a sale. I told the husband we should go inside. And la! Inside I saw tons and tons of High School Musical Barbie dolls (Aish favorite) almost at 50% off. I bought two dolls – Sharpay and Troy.

One of the highlight of this year’s vacation of the husband would be our Palawan getaway which I started planning last November. I already booked the flight and was so happy that I was able to get discounted airfare. After booking the flight I went to search for resort. Or I think it’s the other way around. I searched for affordable resorts in Palawan and end up booking KokosNuss Resort. I emailed for their rates and was surprised that for 4d/3n I would only be paying around Php 8k. Seems too good to be true right? My mistake on this one was that I paid the deposit and then later search for reviews about the resort. I stumble upon this page in TripAdvisor. I was disheartened as I read through the reviews. I would rather give them the 4k than stay on their hotel because I am quite paranoid about mosquitoes and the little girl.

I was telling the husband that I would just buy some cigars online for him as a post Christmas gift but he kept on telling me that he wanted to quit already. But I know he is just kidding since he really has a hard time saying no to smoking since he uses it as a means to combat stress. I am still thinking what to give him ( he insist that a second baby would do!). haha. Oh well! I wanted something tangible since I received a tangible and expensive gift from him. Actually two gifts. One he bought from Kuwait and the other one we bought in the mall yesterday. And I both love the presents! I am one happy wife as of the moment!

Definitely we will be out of the house tomorrow visiting my aunts and uncles and cousins (paternal side). We would be having lunch on my aunt’s house and afterward I don’t know yet what the plan would be. I wanted to go to Tagaytay and have our dinner in one of the fine restaurants there but I am taking into consideration the travel time, the traffic, the kids and a husband who might be suffering from jet lag. lol. But I wanted to treat the kids to something special and Tagaytay is the nearest I guess. Last year we planned to go to Enchanted Kingdom but when we saw the crowd, we back out. haha. We end up shopping at Duty Free. Good thing we end up buying some good electrical supplies and so many chocolates.

I don’t know if this is good or bad news for account holders of Philamlife but last Dec 18 I read the news that AIA Group completes acquisition of Philamlife. Before this, the Philam have sold their pre-need, healthcare units to STI group. Ever since I have an issue with my agent I tried to avoid contacting her. I just don’t like talking to her right now since she broke the trust that I gave her. Right now I only have two accounts with Philam. And hopefully will all this transfer and all, our investments won’t be affected.

This year I admit almost all my online earnings have been used us for my personal whims. I have bought lots of bags and clothes that I was not able to save some of my money. Looking back I don’t really regret it. I love everything I bought but now I am aiming for far greater things. I know clothes and bags are not really good investment and seeing those diamonds in one of the jewelry store that I have visited made me realized what I wanted to collect next year. Yeah, I’ll invest on jewelries using the money I earned.

is the only online time I have. In fact, it’s very limited. I just have to finished all my task and then I am off to the ‘stress’ land. Lines in banks, grocery and then cooking meals. Ah the life of a mother. Sometimes I miss those times when I don’t have a care in the world. When it’s okay that I still don’t have gifts under the Christmas tree. But now that we have kids, it’s different. You want everything to be perfect for them. Oh, not perfect but you want to guarantee those smiles on their faces.

I still have seven days before Christmas. A week! Yeah, a week to accomplished everything that is related to gift giving. haha. I have to shop next week for gift for family members. I have already given out the gifts for some friends and I am so happy that they all like what I have given them. Now, I am only left thinking what best suites some family members. Would promotional bags be nice to some? I hope it would since I am really running out of ideas on what to give them. Maybe, I just go to the mall and buy what fancies me. But that also means I might go over the budget. hahaha. Oh well! As long as the receiver likes the gift, it’s all worth it!

I wanted to downplay our schedule for the 24th and 25th because just thinking about it makes me think of muscle and joint pains and a lot of shouting and struggle among the kids. hahaha. For two years now, during Christmas Eve we ( that includes my older brother and his family and my older sister and her family) would be here at our house opening gifts. Actually the kids are the only one who open gifts. haha. Of course, that includes eating and since it’s our house the task is left on my shoulder. I don’t mind since it’s rarely happens. My sister family is based in the province and the husband is only home during summer and Christmas. The next day (25th) we would be on the road to go to the surviving brood of my father.
