Posted: February 28th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: sat9 | Tags: | 3 Comments »

1. What is the last “white” lie that you told?

Telling my two year old that there are no more chips in the storage cabinet. I put them somewhere else. lol.

2. Can you forgive a liar?

Depends on the lie he/she said.

3. Do you tend to exaggerate or underestimate?

I think exaggerate.

4. Do you hold a grudge?

Sometimes.

5. What’s the biggest lie you’ve ever told?

I can’t think of any right now.

6. Are there times that you feel that it is okay to lie?

Taking care of our FINANCES

Posted: February 28th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: internet finds | Tags: | No Comments »

February is almost over and of course, I am again consulting my work sheet if my financial goals for this month were met. Unfortunately, I have seen that I went over the budget. And most of this where purchases from my credit cards. By looking through the spreadsheet I realized that I am using both cash and credit cards to buy what I fancy. Next month, hopefully I would be able to cut back on the splurge.

Sleep..it’s VITAL

Posted: February 27th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: internet finds | Tags: | No Comments »

The past two days have seen me in my most worried state. The little girl started running a fever Wednesday night. We were supposed to attend the evening mass for Ash Wednesday but decided against it because she really is already hot and throwing a tantrum already. I think she might be having a bad case of cold. At that time I did not have a nice sleep.

A Father’s Love

Okay, I admit, there are times when I cry over a scene on the drama that I was watching. Sometimes because I am too depressed or sometimes I am deeply touched by what I saw. This is the reason why last night I wept. The episode last night on May Bukas Pa is too painful for a mother like me.

The episodes for Monday and Tuesday is about an ex convict who escape from jail to kidnap Santino. At first the police thought that he escaped because he wanted revenge. Little did the authorities know that he escaped because he wanted his son to be cured by Santino?

Ever since I discovered the benefits of stainless steels kitchen utensils it would always my first choice to pick up one despite being pricey whenever I shop. I would go crazy when I see a shop of stainless steel cookware because it’s always my dream to fill my kitchen with those kinds of utensils.

What is COBOL?

Posted: February 25th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: my thoughts | Tags: | No Comments »

This post is out of the blue, I know. But I cannot help but post it here. I just got a call from my eleven year old nephew who is now in fifth grade. And I was surprised when I answered the phone and he asked me ‘Tita Yet, what is COBOL?’. I was speechless at first and have to asked him again what he means. He told me he needs the word that comprises the acronym COBOL. Yeah, right. He is just on fifth grade. I was introduced to that language when I was in first year college and was 15 or 16 years old. lol. And since he knows that I am a computer science grad I was the first one who came to his mind who can answer his question.

Maybe in the FUTURE

You know catheters give me the creeps. When I see somebody using it I just would think of the worst. You might be wondering why? Well, the last thing that the husband did before his grandmother passed away was to look for a catheter in every pharmacy around the hospital his grandma was hospitalized. He had a hard time looking because he wanted an affordable one since we are running low on funds but all he could find are those expensive types. That was one of the stressful moments of our life. Something that we wished won’t happen again that’s why we always make sure we are ready for the unexpected. There are times when life would hit us hard but when you are prepared the blow is much softer, right? That’s why now believe it or not my husband knows where to find some medical stuff that are affordable. I told him that it would be nice if there are local sites like allegromedical.com here in our country. It would be a lot of convenience if we can order medical supplies, medicines and even maternity and baby products (like infant formula) online and have it delivered on your doorstep. Oh that would be heaven for me! Hopefully in the near future someone would come up with that idea. But for now, we can only keep our fingers crossed.
