Star ng Pasko Video and Lyrics

My three year old does not understand and speak our native language. Yes, she does not speak Tagalog or Filipino. She only speaks in English and would only understand you if you speak to her in English also. And now my problem is how to teach her the Filipino language. I am trying to expose her to local tv programs and I am playing some Tagalog songs. I remember when our insurance agent was her to give me the life insurance rate I was asking her, she jokingly said that she is having a hard time to converse with Anevay. lol. Actually almost all our friends and family members are saying the same thing. haha.

The Christmas Gift

Posted: November 18th, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: my life | Tags: | No Comments »

I have been fond of locket. But I never come around to buying one. Then a couple of months ago, a friend (who sells authentic bag) posted a picture of a locket. At that time I wanted to buy it but I am thinking of my budget. Since it was a beauty someone was able to grab it before I did. And so, one time while I was talking to the husband, I jokingly showed him of the picture and told him I wanted it as a Christmas gift. Actually I am not particular about the brand, I just wanted a necklace with a locket for me and the little girl. Since he still has no idea what to give me, when he had a free time he went to the different jewelry shops. I asked him how much the price range of the necklace where and I was a bit shock when he told. That’s because he was aiming for higher karat. I told him not to buy me anymore because I really want to save.I thought he won’t buy me anymore. I was wrong.

On Discipline and Kumon

Posted: September 3rd, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: my life | Tags: | No Comments »

When I first decided to put my three year old in Kumon my agenda really is to get her to interact to as much as many kids as possible. Because it’s just only me and her at home and she is rarely visited by her cousins. And then the second reason is that her dad and I are not that good in Math. She might inherit that. lol! Then when I attended the orientation I realized that through Kumon I can discipline myself. haha. Yeah, because Kumon has a daily worksheet so I need to make sure that the little girl would work on that worksheet everyday and that would give me also a bonding time with her. Though right now she only spends around 10 to 20 minutes on the worksheet but once done I switch to other books to teach her on writing. I am satisfied with what I am doing. Actually I feel accomplished since we have seen a major improvement on the little girl’s focus. According to the teacher she can now sit and count on the table. Unlike before that she would prefer to go around the class and just play. I am so happy that I enrolled her with Kumon.

I am just happy with the location of our house, really. I think everything that we need is just a few stone throw away. Just recently, I discovered that there was a free taichi lesson being given in one of the restaurant near our house. The sessions are free and it’s already my third time joining them. I always came in late but according to the instruction it’s okay.

When it comes to money. haha. Last month, I admit we overspend. I was telling the husband that we spend like crazy but he just told me that’s the purpose of money. Spending it! But just the same, there is a nagging feeling in me that I could have manager our money better. So for this month I vowed to spend lesser. In fact, I told myself no online shopping for me until I think December. haha.

I was browsing through my friends list in my friendster account and was surprised to see a college friend was already in Qatar working. I immediately texted her wife, who is also my college friend to asked her about it. Her husband is in Qatar for one month now. And while exchanging text we realized that we haven’t gotten in touch with each other for a very long time now.

Reversal of Fortune

Last night I end up in bed with some bitter thoughts. Because after a week of patiently waiting for something I was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Surely, my heart jump for joy of seeing the fruits of my labor. But as it turn out the light was a hoax. haha. I felt terribly bitter and regretful. It was such a waste of my energy and time. I was thinking about it until I went to sleep analyzing why it happen and how it happen.

Staying Sane

Only one more week left and January would be over. I cannot be more happier. Don’t get me wrong, I am in fact enjoying my life now. At this point in time I wanted to believe that I have already embraced domesticity in its wholeness and clarity. lol.

I know that entails a deeper explanation but to make it simple I realized that things will only happen if I put everything in motion. I cannot dream of having some if I don’t wish to give up some luxury, right? Or I cannot expect something to happen by just watching on the sidelines. No way Jose, definitely not.

Loving IT!

My new table and space that is! This is one of the most superb idea that the husband did for me last holiday. Getting me office chair and table plus a new desktop.

I love my monitor too! I can now blog in full view. But of course during night time I have to go back to my old but still reliable laptop which is in our room. So that while the little girl is sleeping I can still blog.

Finally UP!

Last Tuesday after a very tiring day, hubby was able to put up our Christmas tree after days of careful deliberation. You see our house is rather small especially our living room. Almost half of the room belongs to Anevay’s stuff. Last year I put up a 7ft Christmas tree, it was too big. So last October or November my sister and I decided to buy a smaller one which cost around Php 100. I plan to put it up the tv rack.
